Introduction

Dear Parents and Carers,

All of us at Cromford School hope that you are able to keep well and safe over the coming weeks.  In these uncertain times, it is important that we are prepared for the possibility of a full or partial closure of school depending on the local Covid-19 situation. There will also be instances where individual children will be self-isolating due to contact with a positive case of Covid 19. We will support by provide links to remote learning for pupils who are not able to attend school, so that no-one need fall behind.

The remote learning set by the teachers will follow the planning for their class, so that children can continue to access the relevant curriculum. If remote learning needs to be set for a class or bubble of children, then the work will be posted on the Learning Plans page website as soon as possible. The children will still be able to access links via their class pages in the ‘Children’ section or you can view additional links and information here.

We would like to keep you informed about resources, remote learning opportunities and updates. We will be using various platforms to do this:

  • Our school website
  • Text messaging
  • Emails
  • Remote Learning Platforms - Tapestry for Reception, Seesaw for Years 1 and 2, initially Purplemash for Year 3 and 4, Year 5 and 6 with a view to switching to Microsoft Teams.

As new resources become available, we will upload them onto the website or our Remote Learning platforms.
